My first daffodils bloomed yesterday. I was expecting only one blossom but I got a bonus!
These are Tete-a-tete's, a miniature daffodil. I am sure you have seen them sold in pots at garden centers. They are just as hardy as the big ones! Here they are planted in a small bed in the chimney corner of my neighbors house (our yards adjoin). I do mixed flower beds so these are planted in with black mondo grass, crocuses and pansies. There are some violets in there (just tiny little leaves yet) and in back is a chartreuse hosta (hasn't started yet). I will probably add coleus later in the season! Ah, Spring!

Ack! We still have a few mounds of snow!
ReplyDeleteWe still have lots of snow, although more disappears each day. These daffodils are beautiful!

Welcome spring! My crocus bloomed a few days ago and the green shoots of the daffodils and tulips are getting taller. It's coming here too! I hope you'll share more garden pictures as the season progresses. Your flower beds sound lovely.
ReplyDeleteAh, the promise of Spring! What a beautiful grouping. I saw my first rose bud forming yesterday; I can hardly wait for the blooms to begin! ---"Love"
ReplyDeleteI have daffodils coming up but no blooms yet. I replanted them last fall, so they may not produce well this year. Some of my other flowers have tiny blooms. I love Spring!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have snow left, but I haven't seen any flowers yet either. I will have to walk the neighborhood later and see what is growing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your pretty flowers.
How beautiful. I thank you for these pics as I do miss them since I don't have a garden anymore.
