Ladies, I do hope you enjoy this award. I love your blogs and look forward to reading every post.
Now for the finish. The Rita's Water Ice top is complete. It is definitely a queen size quilt. I am working on the shams but I need to make a few more pinwheels. Here she is in all her glory.
I had a hard time photographing this, LOL. You can see my sewing table in the corner. I love the way it turned out. I had thought to give this quilt to one of my sisters but found out the one I had in mind only has a twin bed. No hurry, though, I still need batting.
That makes four tops done. Hooray!
Love from Liri
What a goergous quilt! I think maybe your sister would be willing to buy a bigger bed if she knew what she would be missing out on without it.
ReplyDeleteI just love this quilt. It seems to not only sing "SPRING" (which I am starting to look forward to) but also precision and crispness. If you are looking for a home for it, I can help you with that.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love this quilt! It just sparkles. Too bad your sister only has a twin bed. I guess you'll just have to keep this beauty for yourself :)
ReplyDeleteDear me! I can't believe you would choose to honor my blog and its foolishness with the Liebster Award, but I do thank you! Usually I'm concerned only with choosng which quilt to make next; now I'll be trying to decide whose blogs to pass the honor to. There are so many great ones out there! Decisions, decisions, decisions!
ReplyDeleteRita's Water Ice is gorgeous! Your colors are perfect, and I love the slight contrast in the white areas. Can't wait to see how you quilt it! ---"Love"
Congratulations to the winners of the Liebster Award! Yea! ! !
ReplyDeleteYour quilt top is beautiful and it does look like spring! Since it won't fit your sister's bed, I guess you will just have to keep it. How do you plan to quilt it?
Liri,
ReplyDeletethanks for selecting me. I am glad you enjoy my blog.
I think you should put that quilt in a show before you give to anyone. It is wonderful. As for the award...cool;) But what am I supposed to do with it???? I think I need info on that;) LOL;)
ReplyDeleteHappy Quilting!!
Your award picks are great! And I love the quilt. It is awesome! I agree it should go into a show.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the award winners. Excellent choices.
ReplyDeleteLove Rita's water ice. I could just look at that picture over and over. Everything about it is just stunning. Great finish.
I can't seem to find your email address for some reason. Could you shoot me an email so I can get it and write back? I have no idea why I can't find it;(
ReplyDeleteThanks, and Happy Quilting!!
I am trying hard to get the hang of the "new" quilt. It seems if you add white it is a winner! this is wonderful!
